That doesn't mean I don't want to help. This year, actually, I'm in charge of the Thanksgiving decor. Just in case you are the host or hostess, you don't have to do everything yourself. Chances are you're going to be doing the bulk of the cooking. So might as well ask for some help on the side dishes, decorations, etc. Here are a few of the things I've been working on:
Gratitude Tree
Kind of like what we did in our house this month, except with real branches. I printed off a leaf design, cut it out, and used it to trace other ones onto scrapbook paper. I'm going to have a tin of these leaves for people to write what they're grateful for and hang them up. Hopefully it will be a little more full by the time we're done!
I seriously love them. I was going to do them on real-looking leaves, but they were out of that type of scrapbook paper at the craft store. So I chose this cute plaid, and I love how they turned out.
Place Cards
Pretty easy . . . I just got some tan card stock, glued on a little ribbon (only $1 at Hobby Lobby!) and then used white card stock for the names. Ta da!

A personal place card at your seat always makes you feel special.
I'm pretty sure Kate won't appreciate it this year, but I still had fun making it.
And finally,
Oreo Turkeys

Cute little guys, aren't they? I haven't actually made them, I'm just bringing all the stuff for all of the kids to make them. I figure it will be a good distraction so they don't go crazy while they wait for dinner!
I've only hosted thanksgiving once, it never happened again because I am such a terrible cook, haha. LOVE the Oreo turkeys! How to make??

What a fun blog you have! It IS a great bonus when you have a small apartment isn't it? I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving, and I'm looking forward to making those turkeys. My boys will love them!
